Pearl Story

Pearl is a hard object produced within the soft tissue of a living clam. The ideal pearl is perfectly round and smooth, but many other shapes of pearls (baroque pearls) occur. The finest quality natural pearls have been highly valued as gemstones and objects of beauty for many centuries, and because of this, the word pearl has become a metaphor for something very rare, fine, admirable, and valuable. Pearl is valued based on five attributes: Size, Shape, Complexion, Colour, and Lustre.

Being recognized as one of the largest producer of south sea pearl in the world, Indonesia has the perfect oceanic habitat for the Pinctada maximaoysters which produce pearls with color ranges from white, silver, yellow, and gold. Incorporating the south sea pearls with the luxurious design of jewelries, Black and White Pearl is regaining the people’s admiration towards the authentic oceanic treasure of Indonesia.

Black and White Pearl has a strong relationship and vast network amongst the local farmers of south sea pearls in Indonesia. The partnerships make it possible for Black and White Pearl to have continuous supply from the producer.

Procurements team would liaise with the local farmers and makes the order and purchase of the south sea pearls. Purchased bags of pearls would then be handed to Black and White Pearl scientists who would treat the delicate pearls, sort, and set the unit price for the pearls. Black and White Pearl jewelry designers on the other side would uniquely design the mountings of rings, pendants, earrings, studs, bracelets, and necklaces.

The exclusive design of Black and White Pearl products would only come in a few limited numbers in each season to ensure distinctiveness we promise to our group of customers.
